(2009, January 1) Art Media: #2 pencil lined with gel pen, and a mix of three brands of colored pencils

This is my first drawing for the year of the Ox 2009! I had to use three brands of colored pencils since not one set has all the color shades I need (I can't purchase one brand with lots of colors in it...too expensive ). Miaka's hair is the most grueling part here and I think my head ached that time that I knew I had to stop drawing for some moment The scroll is supposed to be a bunch of flowers but Yuu Watase really makes great art and those flowers were so difficult. I just changed it to a scroll, which looks similar to the one Miaka has. I knew I just had to throw in the Suzaku in that scroll It took me 7 continuous hours to finish this one, but I had lots of fun with it and a sense of accomplishment too!
