(2011, May 10) Art Media: #2 pencil lined with gel pen, and colored pencils (Maped Color Peps, Faber Castell for skin)

Here's the inner, young, and troubled child in Nakago. I want to show that this is what's behind his armor all along.

The characters with blue "light" is his Celestial Warrior name, Nakago. The faint blue vertical writings is his real name, Ayuru Gi.

Anyway, I was practicing with my school-grade colored pencils, Maped Color Peps (24s). I haven't touched it for almost 2 years now since my brother bought it for me because I still have some of my 12s. I'm surprised with how this came out. I'd say I learned a lot about layering from my artist-grade colored pencils (Prismacolor Premier and Derwent Coloursoft) and I got shocked that it worked when I applied the techniques to Maped.

Oh, if you noticed, his feet are small. I was going for a camera angle from Nakago's top left.
