Description Well, at last the OVA came! And it had a really juicy piece of work, too!
The duel between Carpaccio's Semovente and Caesar's StuG is a central piece of this treasure we spent months yearning for. And, along with Anzio proving itself not exactly a pushover (they gave a strong and spirited effort with what they got, and deserve some respect for it), completely repaid me for the long wait.
On a historical note, the Semovente, other than being Italy's most successful AFV in WWII (and thus the Anzio tank most deserving the single kill they got, I think), was inspired by the successful use of the StuG III in France in 1940; so, it was a battle between two tank destroyers very closely related.
It's only fitting that the duel ended in a double K.O., I think; they were pretty closely matched, with the StuG's advantage in weight being negated by the Semovente's smaller dimensions and better manoeuvrability.
We can absolutely place this duel in our collections of most awesome moments of the anime series. Whatcha think?

that kind of battle can be only seen in warthunder i think. It's becouse of driving system there. In WoT tanks can't "drift"? like a proper tanks. Anyway it's best tank fight i've seen. Got fall in love in Pepperoni XD

No, in WoT they can't.

I agree on it being the best!

Buono a sapersi!

Well, technically yes, but it glowed the most as a tank destroyer, I think.
Besides, even the Semovente wasn't supposed to be a tank destroyer, but it performed very well in the role.

Okay , because i watched something called "Greatest tanks battles" and they were talking about the Sturmgeschutz III
Used as a front line vehicule , In the video the guy said that even the commander died from soviet artillerie fire
He have the same gun that the Panzer Kmpfw Iv , It was just re-adapted for the Stug III ...
But same perfomance ...

Probebly cause of the gun it wasn't count as a Tank detroyer ? o:

The stug is a panzer 3. The turret ring was too small for a long 75 like the pak 40 on hippo team. So thus the stug 3 g was made as a tank destroyer, stug 3s before it were anti infantry with short 75 guns armed only with HE shells.

No , the stug III with the 7.5cm L48 was still a Assault gun , Sometime used as a TD , but it's wasn't is main fonction
Even the jagpanzer IV with the 7.5cm L48 was used as a assault gun ...
Only the Jagpanzer IV 7.5cm L70 was a tank destroyer , and obviously cause of the gun ...

And if the Stug III 7.5cm L48 was really a TD
what is the point of sending TD's in the first line ?
Against Soviet artillerie and anti-tank gun ?

It was classified as a assault gun, but was used a lot as a tank destroyer because of the pak 40
