After the raging popularityof a certain musical, I feel like there should be a quote next to him that says, "There's a million things I haven't done. But just you wait, just you wait." But, alas, that wouldn't be true to the show or to history.

He wrote like he was running out of time. He was just like his country; young, scrappy and hungry, and he was not throwing away his shot.
And, well...Washington browbeat him into becoming his secretary.

No, probably not. He would have done something else to destroy himself and lord knows what he would have done since he was general of the army. Sorry Hamilton, but you lost it after '94.

right, i dont think he would have been remembered in the same light if he hadnt died in a duel.
of course, his son died in a duel a year before... how could he back down? plus, he wasted his shot.
anywho. hmm yes he did resign in 1794 from his treasurey post. and some people were def not fans of his BUS proposal for the nationalbank. which of course we have today. but this was mainly because the opposition believed in strict construction of the constitution. that is, word for word permission for something to be legal written in the good ole constitution my god thats a long word.
but hamilton was all elastic clause, necessary and proper (like, if the constitution says its legal for you to tie your shoelaces, you shouldnt have to make amendments sayins, she can bend down, she can pick up the laces; their just kind of assumeed) <3
and yet this flagrant unconstitutional proposal did seem kind of odd after he just spent all that time (and cowriting the federalist papers) trying to get the thing approved. lol? madison was like WTF? JEFFERSOOOOON!! help!
and then together jeff and mad birthed the democratic-republicans... factions bitch! all cuase they wanted to oppose hamiltons gang of feds and national bank groupies!!
see! do YOU SEE?!THE ABOVE GIANT RESPONSE?!
THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT EVEN INSINUATE INSULTING ALEXANDER HAMILTON!
LOOK AT WHAT YOU MADE ME DO?!!
