My favorite shot from my trip to DC. I saw how awesome the sun was backlighting the monument so I dashed in front of it and had to take five different shots to get the clouds and flag just right.

niiiice. It's as if the silhouette effect is reminding us that the statue is only a reminder of the actual people that really DID this, and that it's them standing in the shot, somehow.

Every time I see an image of this famous monument, I get a little bit of a lump in my throat. It reminds me of what I'm working so hard for and push myself to become. You captured it so beautifully, and you did this monument justice.

Yeah I get really awestruck as well during anything military related. The military has been my life, so it's strange being away from it nowadays :/
