My first published art. Back about the mid-1980's I was getting involved in comics fandom. I was asked to supply a simple drawing for a listing of comics fans in a book. I did this pen and ink sketch of Betty Boop in a sci-fi setting. I recently found a scan of the sketch. I don't remember the book it was originally printed in and it may be long lost.Related content

This is so cute! Very Fleicher-esque, but modern at the same time. I also love the effect of the sword/lightsaber. I might nick that effect.
