Great Glaurung, he looks very pre-historic, almost as if he could have been a dinosaur. it fits very well given his primitive age and context on history!

Thanks! I'm glad you like his design. As I often point out, I generally try to keep it rather simple not to 'overload' the characters with too much features (over-complicated character designs are very common nowadays, as I notice).

I love detailing (and yours is very detailed as well) but am not a fan of "lots of add-ons" either, usually less is more! overloaded features often hide the character. I prefer more or less something "objective"

Tolkien's universe definitely is the least place to expect happy endings for the dragons since there clearly is biblical symbolism involved regarding Melkor et al. Though I can't say that Glaurung is particularly malicious in comparison with the 'good' characters. A la guerre comme a la guerre, I think.

There were actually very few happy endings for anyone in Tolkien's work. Β His sense of tragedy surpassed the Greeks. Β Definitely awesome though.
