Ni siquiera serias heridas detienen a dos Thalassocnus machos que se disputan el control del harén. El ganador tendrá acceso a las hembras; el perdedor, si sobrevive, tendrá que retirarse a recobrar sus fuerzas e intentar desafiar al señor de la playa en otra ocasión.
Doodle rápido inspirado en las especies tardías de Thalassocnus, un extraño perezoso que se adaptó a la vida marina. Aparentemente los machos eran más grandes que las hembras y tenían una especie de proboscis similar a la de los elefantes marinos; esto sugiere quizá un estilo de vida similar, poligínico, en el que los machos competirían entre sí ferozmente, quizá usando sus garras para pelear entre sí- las mismas garras que en el mar les servían para sujetarse al fondo marino mientras se alimentaban de vegetación acuática.

Quick doodle inspired by the late species of Thalassocnus, a strange ground sloth that became adapted to a marine lifestyle. Apparently, males were bigger than females and had a sort of proboscis like an elephant seal, suggesting they had a similar, polygynous lifestyle in which the males would compete among each other, maybe using their claws to fight rivals- same claws they used to hold on to the sea floor as they fed on sea grass.
