Not one day ago,I crashed.
My feelings broken, tattered,
Littered on the floor.
You whispered to me,
Words of assurance and hope.
As I weeped,
Into your shoulder.
It has taken me,
One more day to climb back.
From the bottom of lowliness,
To be near the top again.
Truth hurts,
This cannot be argued.
But how can one cope,
When it is taken to the harshest level?
Thank you for your shoulder.
I'm sorry for the dampness,
Caused by my tears of shame and fear.
You were my first ounce of strength I needed.
