Because. There are lots and lots of awesome characters in Bleach who are filled with badassness, and I give them all due love in their turn (EXCEPT GIN. GIN IS CREEPY. ALSO KUROTSUCHI), but - Hanatarou is my baby and I want to snuggle him and cuddle him and love him forever and ever and EVER HE IS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING IN THE WHOLE SERIES I SWEAR....... so I make fanart. In a sickeningly obsessive way.
Besides, from the complaints I hear from other artists about how difficult it is to draw Bleach fanart, Hanatarou must be the easiest thing to draw EVER because I didn't have any real problems, except for hands, which don't count because hands are ALWAYS evil. So I guess I lucked out there.
Background is kind of eh. At least there IS one. XD *so bad with the backgrounds!*
EDIT: I almost forgot about the brushes what is WRONG with me?! Mostly brushes from *asunder and ~trulysarah , I believe, and I can't remember exactly where any others came from.

wow you and me have that in common, I hate drawing hands too and they ARE VERY evil!
but those hands came out very nice, sometimes I'll draw some and think they're comming out ok and then....blah! I mess them up!

I like how this is almost like a sepia tone? (and after I read description, it's "bleached." Oh well :3 )
That's a really cool butterfly. :3 I like its design. Everything also looks like it's moving with the wind. The sky was stroked the same way the grass moves, the same with the direction of the butterfly. All this subtle stuff really helped!

I don't think I know this character yet either... followed Bleach for a while, then just kind of... didn't, anymore. Lost interest at some point. But this is a very cute drawing nonetheless. ^^ He looks so happy, following the butterfly. And you really drew the yukata (or kimono?) nicely... :3 Waaaah! So cute! *just huggles it*

I love how you color things. The background feels almost impressionistic in a way. I love how the colors blend and fluctuate. I just love that butterfly, too. And the scratchy lines on the kimono contrast with the flowing lines in the background. Zomfg, I love it. The border just completes it, too.
