Sooooo, this here is Ginevra Djinn. Just my luck, today I watched Aladdin and one of my favorite episodes of Supernatural, "What Is And What Should Never Be." And guess what both of these have in common?

If you guessed, GENIES, you're right.

Now, being me, my first thought was: "Oh. My. God. What about a GENIE Monster High character?!" And, being me once again, once I have an idea like that in my head, I have to see it through.

The result of all this is Ginevra. If you're wondering about the cleary random-ish name, it's because I've been on a Harry Potter fan-girl overdrive the past few months, what with Deathly Hallows Part coming to theatres in less than two weeks (squeal of dellight!), I've been very in a very powerful "OMFG HARRY POTTER" mindset. If you're familiar with HP, then you'll probably know of a certain character whose name happens to be Ginny. You may also be aware that her full name is Ginevra. So that's why her name is what it is. Funnily enough, I think it sounds kind of cool, seeing as her last name is actually pronounced like "gin." Djinn was the formal name for the genie in the Supernatural episode, and is, obviously, another word for genie (or, when basing it all off the original Arabic folklore, is another way of spelling Jinn). This is also a reference to her pet's name, which is Jinni. And yes, Ginevra - who is not overly fond of her wacky first name - likes to go by the nickname of "Ginny," too. Talk about a name game, huh?

Another thing you may have noticed is that Ginny seems a little more, um, "high on life" than most of my OCs. This is because my sister (who, although thinking my clinically nuts for making so many OCs, enjoys reading the bios and seeing how they come out looking when drawn), accused my OCs of all being "the same," as in, "characters all with my own personality, albeit maybe slightly skewed." Then she got mad at how NONE of my OCs were BMFFs with Clawdeen (my sister loves Clawdeen's doll). The reason is that I generally greatly dislike Clawdeen (intro my thought of: someone go slap that fashion-obsessed bitch!), so why would I want OCs that I love to be friends with the one girl I cannot stand? Well, since my sister loves Aladdin and the genie in the film, I decided to make Ginny an incredibly outgoing and bubbly person, who loves accessories and fashion and just being oh-so-happy...and friends with Clawdeen. However, I still really love how Ginny came together in the end, and I think it's good to have a character that's just naturally, well, "OMG, LIFE! YAY! FUN!" I picture Ginny kind of like Draculaura...always smiling and full of sunshine.

Eh, what else can I really say? I love my sister.

Skullette was designed by me...and I actually really, really love how it turned out.

Sketch is coming... Unfortunately, you may have noticed I have a habit of creating Monster High OCs at random, and at a far faster rate than I can actually draw them. Bear with me people, good things are their way in terms of art.
