Description I've had this one on my mind for a while, wanted to make an advanced vampire-like faction that flew around in medieval style exosuits. I'm semi-happy with how it turned out. I feel like I could have done a much better job on the armor shading overall, on the helmet especially. I definitely will find more excuses to draw these guys in some dynamic poses in the midst of battle for future works. I'll also draw what these guys actually look like under the visor at some point as well.

Technically this is still doing the chicks clad in heavy metal type stuff XD (If you couldn't tell), but I feel like it brings more to the table than just a chick in badass armor.

Sorry if the lore section's a bit long here, as always, you don't have to read it.

Lore (For those who care)

In lands far removed from the Empire, and their ongoing conflict with the Myth'ul Drak, the demonic threat is no less prevalent in the regions surrounding a place such as the Ashlands.

Inhabiting this land of cool breezes where life scarcely grows is possibly the most advanced race to have walked the planet since the vanishing of elves some two centuries ago. Many would use crude terminology such as Dark Elves, Vampires or Scaleys, to describe them, however, this Demonic-Human Race would prefer you refer to them as the Andracil, descendants of Cultists, who long ago worshiped the Greater Demon known as Apollyn the Dragon God (sometimes referred to as Boger'maath).

Ashlandic Soldiers are among some of the most feared combatants any trained worrier could hope to meet in battle. This reputation is not simply by virtue of their alien characteristics such as their piercing red eyes which can be seen shining even in the dark of their visors. They are also possessed of great raw physical strength and, on average, have the mental fortitude of a scholar with the strengths of both an exceptional swordsman and the most powerful of mages.

But perhaps what is most troubling about the Andracil is their well known ability to absorbe the life essence of anyone who falls to them in battle, a trait they inherited from Boger'maath, who slaughtered millions to sustain himself for many years in the mortal world.

Their armor is composed of two main parts, the main section, which encompasses the worrier themselves and gollem-like insectoid second half that acts as an exoskeleton that extend the capabilities of the user with longer arms, a digitigrade set of legs, and wings. This design allows Ashlandic Worriers more maneuverability and extends the range of their melee attacks by allowing them to wield weapons otherwise ill suited for a being of their size (between 5 to 6 feet on average)

Thanks! I was concerned with how well the insect aspect would mesh with the plate armor, I think it turned out pretty well.

Yeah I know how you feel. On one hand they're both armor so it seems like they mesh, but it's easy for some details to get swallowed up. You did a good job of including both plate-layers and what looks like segmentation. In the future you could also include sort of cutouts in the 'inside' of joints that allow for space as they bend.
