everything about him is very flip flop,,, like he's very unpredictable but tho one true constant is that he really would do anything for Toby. like fey is always smilely and dramatic but he'd only ever show diff facial expressions and his true feelings for maybe toby ;v;
timeline wise i see him as first being very caring for toby as a kid, then distant/aloof, then scornful of him, tHEN understanding turned longing?,,,, THEN FINALLY full on yearning/homage/worship/possessiveness

really he's always loved toby to some degree and has been possessive over toby ??? it just takes a while for toby 2 become like 200x more toxic than he is ///and for fey to become obsessed with that persona
