This pic was inspired by a small sketch by Glen Keane I saw on Tumblr : [link] (you have to scroll down).I liked the pose and it made me think of the dungeon scene immediately so I wanted to redraw it in my style
It was also good training for darker atmosphere/colors, which I suck at. I hope it doesn't look to dark on your monitors, at least on mine it looks okay...Beauty and the Beast (c) Disney

ย ย ย ย ย ย I love this the emotion on Belles face is of resigned sadness knowing that she most likely will never see any of her town or father again but still doing it out of love.The colors are good don't underestimate yourself. I like how you chose that scene. I know it would be hard to draw emotions. The way he looks at her is almost as if he respects her decision. Even though he knows that she knows that her father should have stayed because he is old and wouldn't last long. She has a whole life in front of her. But I think he just began to understand that love means sacrifice.This is when he first sees that love is sacrifice. He fully understands what it means when he lets her go to her father but I think that this is when he began to understand. If only a little.
ย ย ย I just had an idea. I think you should draw the scene wen he lets her go. She says "Thank you." and then after she is gone out of the room he says in a whisper of almost bewilderment:"I let her go.?"

I don't remember writing I love books. But for better understanding when I said *I read* I only meant that is what I see when I glance at this picture. It is what I take in feasting on your art. ย I know that is not what it says, only what my imagination reads.

Sorry I misinterpreted. I only wondered because I like to read different versions of stories I can tell without even bothering. The fashioned stories that are so cliche that you want to scream. I like how you can see meanings that are not right under your nose.The way he looks at her is really disbelief. If you read what I wrote on this in the comments of the picture you will understand my theory on this being when he begins to understand that love is sacrifice.
