It's too late, but it's Frankenstein. The doc's Frankenstein. He's even building a new monster.

I wanna see them do more with the whole "recruiting villains from fiction" thing. Like, I wanna see Randall Flagg wander into town; he'd be the one guy who uses his real name in Storybrooke but uses an alias in the fairy world.

Here's a compilation of things he was like in just his first appearance: [link] Look under the "Las Vegas" section.

My guess is that he's Ariel's prince. I've heard that he might be the Wizard of Oz.

Mmm.. sure he must be someone concerned with the sea, but I don't think he's one of the good guys, maybe he's a borderline. He really helps Regina after all.
Isn't the Wizard of Oz an old man? o.O

Archie helped Regina, and he's a freakin concience.
I know. I don't really get it...
I suppose doctor could fit either one... In the original Little Mermaid story Ariel's feet hurt her a lot when she walked, so maybe in this world she's in a wheelchair and gets to hang around him that way. And the Wizard of Oz, if you look past the fact that he's supposed to be old, gave people hearts and brains and courage and stuff.

Archie helped her because she blackmailed him. The doctor instead seems doing it without being obligde. But we don't know what's behinde.
The idea of Ariel on a wheelchair is great! But I really can'r see Whale as Eric... still I can't find any idea for him^^

Perhaps Regina is blackmailing the doctor in some unknown way. Or maybe he called her because she was Charmings legal emergency contact, and doesn't really know about Regina's evilness because he isn't exposed to it personally very much.
Yeah... come to think of it I don't really know why I see him as Eric. Other than the fact that his last name has to do with something from the ocean. Maybe it's his "never do anything expected" line. 'Cause we don't know if the Once folks will end up going with the Disney version or the original tales of these stories. Unlike in the Disney version, "Ariel" doesn't end up being with "Eric" in the orignal story.
The thing I can't really see him as is Monstro. XD

Yes, the fact is we don't know if the authors are going to follow a classic fairytale, a disney version or reinvent it complitely. I like your idea about Eric anyway. Plus, I don't have any idea about other possibilities.

this is really good! I admire the witty humor and the idea of the double edged sword between how charming and regina both get their way hahaha
