Y'know, now that I look at this picture, I sort of messed up on the placement of the words... Oh well.

Anyhow, this scene was during the big plot night. Long story short, there were rebels in the pack and they split up with the main pack, Mordere av Natten. The traitors (the five wolves in the very back) were chased out of the territory by the Mordere wolves (the larger group closer to the screen) and went off to create Krone Seelen.

Can y'all see my Kumori? Aye, she's loyal to Mordere. And, on the other side, Sephiroth sits. This is how they were split. Seph chose to go with Krone Seelen instead of staying with Mordere and his mate. Sad times. It was planned though, so no biggie.
