SOLLUX POV
I sat quietly at my new hive on Earth, my matesprit (Y/n) doing something in our room while I typed code. Honestly, for matesprits, we really didn't act that close. (Y/n) didn't need lots of attention, but didn't reject it if it was given to her. Usually, if she wanted attention, she would just come and lay her head on my lap or lean on my shoulder. I raised my eyes from my coding for a split second as she came down the stairs in her favorite fleece pajama pants and a long sleeved (F/c) shirt with a paw-beast that she called a "Polar bear" on it. She had a piece of paper that I guessed was one of her drawings. (She was an excellent artist) I pretended to ignore her, knowing that if I did so she might get the hint and leave.
"Hey Sol..." She murmured tiredly, leaning on my shoulder, making it difficult to type. I shrugged her off.
"Sol can you please tell me what you think of this picture?" She requested, smiling at me.
"I'm a little buthy honey, maybe later." I responded, a little irritated.
"It'll only take a-" I snatched the picture out of her hand and looked at it, not even taking it in before ripping it in half.
"It's ugly ath fuck, now leave me alone." I growled, not looking at her. I saw her hunched form out of the corner of my eyes as she stared at the picture, a small tear falling off of her face and falling onto the picture.
"THERIOUTHLY!? ARE YOU THERIOUTHLY TRYING TO GUILT TRIP ME RIGHT NOW (Y/N)? JUTHT LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!" I yelled, angry.
YOU POV
Your chest hurt as you stared at your picture, which was supposed to be a Valentines gift for him. It was a brick heart, with you and Sol sitting on either side. He had torn through the center of the heart, separating the two figures in the picture. You quietly got up and marched away, only letting your tears fall as you locked the door to your room loudly, pulling on a coat and changing into some jeans before exiting the house via the balcony. You and Sol lived in the middle of the woods, because it was quiet, making it easy for him to concentrate, and inspiring for you. You jogged towards town, barefoot. You were racked by sobs, but were still decently fast. You reached your moirail, Karkat's house at the edge of town in about thirty minutes. You knocked on Kar's door shakily, and it snapped open, revealing a pissed looking Karkat. His expression melted as he saw your tears.
"What'd that fuckass do?" He asked, pulling you into the house and shutting the door, locking it.

SOLLUX POV
I growled as my Trollian dinged, showing I had a message from Karkat. I opened it.
carcinoGeneticist (CG) began trolling twinArmageddons (TA) at 12:14 AM
CG: YOU ARE THE LOWEST BRAND OF SHITSTAIN, YOU KNOW THAT?
TA: What the fuck are you talkiing about?
CG: DO YOU EVEN KNOW YOUR MATESPRIT ISN'T IN YOUR HOUSE? SHE'S AT MY PLACE CRYING HER EYES OUT BECAUSE YOU IGNORED HER FOR THE ENTIRETY OF VALENTINE'S DAY AND RIPPED A PICTURE SHE HAD BEEN WORKING ON FOR WEEKS, JUST FOR YOU, IN HALF. WHO THE FUCK EVEN DOES THAT?
CG: IT'S THE LEAST YOU COULD DO TO FUCKING RESPECT HER CULTURE HALF AS MUCH AS SHE DOES OURS AND SAY "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, I ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR EXISTENCE."
TA: 2hiit... II2 2he okay?
CG: SHE'S ASLEEP NOW. SHE'S BEEN UP FOR TWO DAYS STRAIGHT JUST MAKING ADJUSTMENTS ON THAT PICTURE YOU TORE IN HALF AND CRYING WORE HER OUT TOO MUCH.
TA: II'm comiing over.

I felt my hands shaking violently as I unsteadily put down my husktop and grabbed the halves of (Y/n)'s picture, seeing a beautiful monochrome picture of (Y/n) and I sitting on a heart made of bricks. In the corner was a small note:
Happy Valentine's day Sol, you're the best matesprit I could ever ask for, (Y/n)
I sprinted out the door, diving into the car and speeding to KK's. I knocked so hard on his door a small dent appeared. He opened it, and let me in, smacking me in the back of the head. I didn't respond, knowing I deserved it.
"Where ith the?" I asked quietly, feeling inches from sobbing at my own stupidity. He pointed to the couch, and I walked over to it, seeing (y/n) curled up on Kar's red couch, tears flowing out of her clenched eyes as she sniffled in her sleep. I knelt on the ground next to her, taking off my glasses and burying my face in her stomach. Karkat went in the other room as she stirred, giving us some privacy. When she fully woke up, she jolted away from me, her clear (e/c) eyes puffy as tears still streamed from them.
"S-Sollux..." She squeaked, her lip quivering as she stared at me, trying as hard as she could not to outright sob. I leaned forward and pulled her into a hug, cradling her head against my chest.
"I am tho, tho thorry. I an the biggetht douchelicker on the fathe of the univerthe. I don't detherve you, and I know that, but..." I trailed off, lifting her chin so our lips were maybe an inch away from each other. I could feel her fast breathing on my lips; her breath smelled of honey.
"...pleathe, pleathe, don't leave me." I murmured, tears escaping my eyes. She dove forward, connecting her sweet, soft lips with my chapped ones. Her eyes were shut tightly, and mine soon fell shut as well.
"I'll never leave you, my big honey bee. I love you." She murmured as the kiss ended, smiling sweetly at me and wiping my tears away. I clutched her as tightly as I could to my chest.
"Here.... I -gr- brought you some.... chocolate!" I exclaimed, digging in my pocket and pulling a bit of slightly squished honey chocolates out.
"Happy Valentine'th day honey!" I laughed, unwrapping the chocolate and gently placing it on her pink tongue. She smiled at me.
"Happy Valentine's day, Sol."
