Flyby time, Balbo and break..Taken at any of a dozen Flying Legends I've attended.. (Daniel will know lol).
Two Buchons (both Duxford based). Both flew with the Spanish Airforce and in the film 'The Battle Of Britain'.
The Spitfire is a Mk XIVe, in the scheme of Johnnie Johnson.. It was built in 1944 and flies now with The Fighter Collection at Duxford.

Beautiful shot!
Those Spitfires with the clipped wing tips have always looked odd to me, probably because they look less graceful.

They clipped the wings because it performed better at low level like that..
They were used against V1s and Hit and Run raiders..
