Description Taken at RAF Cottesmore Family Day, my last 'perk' as it were.. This was flying much closer than normal and also landed there..
This Sabre, the oldest flying example in the world was based at Duxford until early this year I believe but now has returned to the States..
Where, I can't tell you..

I am not sure who acquired her or where she will end up, but currently she is in the charge of Heritage Aero atΒ Rockford, Illinois. She has only just recently made her first flight over in the States as she needed some work to get her ready for flying in the US, something to do with restoring long range fuel tanks.

Yep, that sounds like a must for the US..
Thanks for the info on it, not one we will see again I suspect..
