NAME: Velours (vuh-LOOR)

Brilliant, lavish, and extra as fuck, Velours is the walking embodiment of luxury. The fur on her body is short, thick and velvety; their hair is is silky as can be, and the gold parts of their body have a glossy finish to them like a well-manicured nail. She's always on top of fashion trends, or setting them herself, and despite her uppity looks she's actually quite approachable. Excellence in carrying an interesting conversation is one of her many strong points, but there is one hangup to her general friendliness: Velours absolutely thrives on other people's drama. She dislikes being involved with drama herself and prefers an observing role, but if you come into her home or boutique with a juicy story about how Ana totally went off on Ulric the other day you'd better believe she's gonna need to hear that whole thing, and then speculate on what it could mean in the long run.

Velours is often so absorbed with other people's stories and gossip that they really don't talk about themself much. Sometimes they'll go out of town to visit their mom, they went to fashion and beauty school (possibly two separate degrees?), and their hobbies include jewelrymaking and crocheting....but there's really not much more than that, at least not that they're willing to share. They tend to summarize personal events in a few short sentences and finish it up with "but that's boring; what happened earlier?"

Nobody really saw it set up or have a grand opening, but Velours's boutique and salon just kinda....showed up in town and people slowly noticed it. If you walk in there and can afford it (despite the luxurious nature of his products, he tries to keep them affordable), Velours will give you a complete and total makeover: outfit, clothes, hair, nails, makeup, the whole nine yards. And he has an excellent sight for what looks good on who. Safir frequents the boutique for beauty supplies and to supply Velours with fresh, juicy rumors and stories; despite the age difference, the two get along surprisingly well. Ana gets her makeup done from time to time, and Velours very much enjoys her smoothies. Although Ulric can make drinks up to Velours's standards, Ulric has probably never been in the boutique and Noucha definitely thinks of him as too gossip-obessed to enjoy hanging around. Additional fun fact: Velours will flirt with pretty much any adult they meet. Whether this is genuine, just how he acts, or a sales tactic is a mystery.....
