If you look carefully life is all based on Faith(belief). So in that case anybody who follows MAINstream can't think for themselves or any trend, artist, or any principle given by the World would constitute as not thinking for yourself. It's ideally impossible. The good thing on about the bible is that it tells you not to follow others but rather aim for nothing. God is basically NO-thing. The bible teaches the opposite of the world. That's why Christ kingdom is called the upside down kingdom. While the World teaches those who are served are leaders, the bible teaches that greatest among the people will be the best servant is the leader. Even you post this picture is not your own thought but an attitude of the World. Speaking of quoting, "Do not love the world(attitude) or anything(materials) in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the worldβthe desire of the body, the desire of the eyes, and the authority of one's lifeβcomes not from the Father but from the world(mindset)."

Faith does not equal belief. Faith is believing without good reason. You can believe things that you don't have a 100% absolute certainty without faith. For example siting in a chair without checking if it is capable of supporting yourself, is not an act based on faith, but based on the knowledge acquired by previous experience. You also don't have to believe that the chair will support you, you can just assume that it will until there is enough evidence to support another position (pun not intended). You can also accept concepts which are introduced by others and still think for yourself by following a similar reasoning.

Faith: something that is believed especially with strong conviction, Belief: something believed; an opinion or conviction. It's the same thing worded differently. The World telling you if you don't buy this your not in style or if you don't have perfect teeth, perfect skin, perfect hair, this amount of status, this certain height, this certain weight, listen to these hit songs and watch these blockbuster hits,hangout at these spots, drink this, eat this, hate them, love this. My friend I don't know what world you live in but that is all a Faith of it's own, for acceptance of society. Why do we have indies, and punks who say $%^^ mainstream and their society. You gave me a religious definition of Faith. I gave you a dictionary version. Religion is same way. Pray for this, read this, buy this, come to this yada yada. Christ came to get rid of that nonsense and labor. He came to give us salvation and make us new creatures that world will not recognize. All you have to be is a genuine follower of Christ. Not religion, or good deeds. Just truth.

Nope it is not the same thing. Faith is not something that is believed with conviction, faith is the excuse to believe in something, when there is no good reason to believe in it. You can very well believe in something with conviction without having faith for example it is not faith believing that multiplication is a commutative relation i.e x times y = y times x.
You also don't have to censor your cuss words, im fine with people using those, as long as they don't go crazy with them.
This is not the religious definition of faith, this is the essence of faith. If you believe that jesus really existed and is not only a myth, then you believe it through faith i.e with no good reason to do so, as there is no good reason to believe that he really did exist and did anything that is attributed to him in the bible.There is no single shred of historical evidence for that. Oh and why does it have to be a father ? I think thats a bit misogynistic. But nonetheless, let's assume that god exists , how do you know what it hates and what it doesn't hate ? I thought that god was an all loving being, hating something would contradict that. Now let's drop that assumption. I think you are just projecting what you like and don't like on god, so to give your opinion some kind of authority, I gotta say that it really doesn't work, unless to people that already believe the same way you do.

My goal is not to persuade anyone. I am just an ambassdor of Christ Jesus Our Lord. Can a mere human like me have the power to persuade a human to believe in Christ Jesus in this day of age? HAHA. In this day of age where it is okay to live in disorder and promote homosexuality as order, where the gender lines have crossed each other. Where us young people spit at our parents and refuse to take counsel from the wise. Where the only remedy for our lack of parenting and fatherless generations is alcohol, sex and drugs. Where the governments abuse their power and steal from the poor and enslave us calling it democracy and freedom. Where we are constantly bombarded everyday with these futile commercials promoting their beauty nonsense because we have become a species of attention seeking whoredom. Men now becoming like women forgetting their masculinity in society of honor, righteousness and justice. All in the name of freedom we rape women, abuse children and persecute the good hearted. Have them labeled as cynical, judgemental, blind, boring disturbances of the peace. Well if this is peace and freedom no wonder we seek escape from this world. No wonder we blame God and hate the word of it. But he warned us when he gave us free will. On this day I set before you life and death. Be wise and choose life. Howbeit we praise death as a society. Christ said all have fallen short of the glory of God. We have all gone astray like sheep heading for the slaughter. The blind leading the blind, all professing to be wise when they are fools. They hate the light becuase they ways are of darkness and they won't come to the light becuase their deeds will be exposed. A sinful and wicked generation always looks for signs and wonders why? because they are blind to the simple things of God's existence. Look to Christ seek him for salvation that you may save yourselves from this embarassing age. We have millions dieing becuase of our corrupt ways and we rather listen to MTV or whatever nonsense their may be. Repent." For when you see distress and anxiety of hearts,waves roaring... this is only the beginning of God coming to wrap things up.
