Description
The new Holy Spirit church of Veresegyház (Pest megye, Hungary, Europe)
VDS 8×10" custom built field camera, Schneider-Kreutzach APO Symmar-S 240 f/5.6 MC lens and Rollei Vintage 8×10" photo paper negative
Paper negative was scanned with my cheapo CanoScan LiDE 220 and reversed, toned, cleaned-up in PS.
No pixel suffered harm or discomfort while I took this photo. This is my own work, please don't do any unlawful things to it like reblogging, sharing, lending, leasing, tearing up or claiming it. This picture is purely copyrighted. Infringing my rights will call for immediate legal action.

the symmar is a superior lens with excellent wide field coverage and the ability to be a convertable lens of more than one focal length. paper is fine, BUT you are ready for film. this also opens up the door to make platinum prints as a contact size image is used in the process.

"Unfortunately" this lens is an APO Symmar-S that is not convertible. I checked out already and I found a very handy lens chart of old Schneiders… Meanwhile it is a superb and mint quality lens so I don't regret to have it
For film, I am slowly preparing everything—I have some stock already but my so-called lab needs some development. I know only one lab that is able to process 8×10" film around here, but at least there is one. Perhaps I will have time for shooting, too and in the near future I will make my first steps this way
