Thank you, it was a lucky one, too! This little chap was curious enough and also thought that if they don't move I won't see them

Yes, and a good fun to watch their behaviour and keeping my garden less "insected" (infected by insects)

Very nice shot, I like the diagonal composition and calm colours.
It's a pity that there is this branch in front of the bird but luckily it's blurred so it's not so bad

Esxactly! I wished that branch away, too, but as I wrote before, God designed the scene this way and who am I to override his/her decision? ('cos ain't got no better excuse )

Great shot - what I really like about this is how you managed to capture the bird's face pointing towards the lens rather than in profile. It gives the picture a sense of movement, and the impression that the bird is about to fly off! Great work - small birds like these never seem to want to stay still enough for a decent pose. XD

HoremWeb In reply to W-Lupus [2013-12-30 12:19:19 +0000 UTC]

Fortunately Long-talied tits are curious enough to stay. They are watching anxiously what you do, and try to pretend of not being there. This helps a bit and if you know their manners, vaguely know where to focus and when expect a look... But even this way it is a good game of luck. I have more challenge with Great tits (not those on the girls, though I have to confess that I like them. too) they are extremely fast and cannot stop for a decent pose, not even for food. I managed to picture them only when they had territorial argue with some other birds...

Hmm, I'll try that actually.
Haha! This always happens when you're having a conversation about Tits. I have to agree, Great Tits don't seem to stop for anything.

Well, I would prefer if the branches were out of the way, but God decided to put'em there, and who am I to criticize his (her?) art? (Ain't better excuse ... )

Thank you very much!

topperGfx In reply to HoremWeb [2013-12-28 20:12:24 +0000 UTC]

I like the branch. It makes good composition. The bird looks like it would like to jump from one branch to another.
