Alright! Remember that silly Meerca pic I did! That blue thing with the tail that's in my scraps. Yeah well it got picked at Neopets so I got a fun happy prize! Faerie Paintbrush! So I made my Ruki a Faerie.. I bet you all really care... But here's the super lame part! This pic is now in the beaty contest.. I wish they called it something else. Then I wouldn't feel so lame say this. But yeah. It's totally going to win me some more Neopets swag!And it's not in scraps because I like how it turned out.

i wants a faerie ruki....all i have is a boy yellow one and a girl blue one (named after my boyfriend and me, respectively, aren't i sweet)...but this is nice

I'm glad it won the contest that week. I think I voted for it too. Faerie pb from the art gallery?! Wow. If only they liked my stuff and I felt more into drawing their stuff. I've always wanted to paint my ruki faerie. Maybe I will give the art gallery another chance.

Yeah that paintbrush was a huge suprise. Last time I got a petpet so this was a huge step up. And thanks for the maybe vote!
If I hadn't gotten the Faerie PB then I would've tried to paint him Desert because those Ruki's are awesome.

I'm a big ruki my fan myself. On my main account I have two rukis, one I want to paint desert and the other faerie.
I have little np to buy brushes, but with any luck maybe the art gallery will be generous. I have had artwork accepted in the past. My first prize was a main codestone and the other prizes were a white paintbrush, pink petpet brush, and a ghost petpet brush. The main thing which hinders me is I don't normally draw in neopet style and because of that, a lot of my entries don't make it.
But I took a chance with it last night. I took my Tairena's this week's bc entry, altered it a little (changed the butterfly wings to ruki wings) and entered it. I hope they will take it.

Well good luck with your pic! I've entered for Poogle day and the Faeiry Festival because the gallery is a really fast way to make money I've found out. I just hope they accept them
The only 2 Neopets I've taken to drawing not in the Neopets style are my Gelert and Eyrie. And my Gelert has had trouble getting into the BC so that's dumb.

Sometimes I have trouble with my rukis and other entries getting in, but when that happens, I send an email asking the judge what is going on, if it is a server problem (which she has told me is the fault of a lot of the rejections) or something with my entry.
I also re-enter it. With my lupe, I had to enter it about 6 times before it was accepted. Only one of the entries she actually rejected purposly and that was because I was so angry I put my email in the decription requesting she answer right away
She sent me a neomail telling me why that time it was rejected. The neomail was different than the form one and used a red explanation icon instead of the other icon to alert neomails. Ideally I'd like to suggest her to use that type of icon and a personalized neomail whenever there is a reason for the entry being rejected other than it not showing up when she checkes through the submissions.
She did answer my email that the other times were because of the glitch, not my entry.
It did get it through eventually. But because of way the form rejection letter is set up and people's skceptisim towards tnt, people misunderstand the letter and then accuse the judge of being picky.
I think there needs to be more clarification.

Yeah. My gelert was under 17 k or whatever the limit is so I had no clue what was wrong. And by the time I'd gotten the final reject letter the next contest had started and I'd stopped caring.
A bunch of stock replies would be fine. like server error or file size too big or something. Not "your entry has been rejected. figure out why!" But meh, my Ruki got accepted 10 minutes before the contest began so that was neat...
