I can't believe I managed this in one day, not so much the drawing itself (I'm aware it sucks beyond a lot of what I've done), but due to the fact that I did this using a very small amount of referance. I used it for the emotions that the trainer is using, who is currently in his sleeping clothes, and that's it. The rest of it I drew from my head (XD It shows). So as much as I hate this thing, I'm kind of proud of it to. Go figure.First page for the pokemon contest

A quick way to improve your art level!!
step 1: Grab paper, pencil, clipboard, and a ruler. You're going to need it. If you have a french curve, that'll help a lot too.
Step 2: Grab your favorite manga book, because you're going to be looking at it for a REALLY long time.
step 3: Draw entire manga book from page 1 to ending. This will take a long time, but don't give up.
My drawings still suck, but I did manage to push myself to a higher level by doing this. I didn't finish one book, but I did about 15 pages from Samurai Deeper Kyo, 5 from Gravitation, 4 or 5 from D. gray man, a few from death note, one or two from Bersek, a couple from Fruits basket, Monster, Angel Sanctuary, Godchild and a few others. Anyway, the entire page count adds up to a full book. So, start to it!

Cute, lol. ^^ Great job! This is a great start to a comic. I like the backgrounds, and the shading. The panels move nicely. Only criticism I have is that the boy's arm looks a little wonky in the third panel - but other than that, this is awesome!
