In honor of LGBTQ appreciation month I figured I would update this character since he is my LGBT character!

Another commission from who never disappoints!

Wraith may not have a great record but it can't be denied that his wars are the fights are the stuff of boxing legends! He hasn't won any belts and he has been knocked down a number of times he has always gotten back up and finished the fight. Even when he is trying to stay on his feet he'll weather the storm. He's always moving forward, even when he's hurt. He brings an intensity into a fight and he's always right there... right in your face with an intensity and determination that intimidates even the most seasoned professional fighters.
Like most of my characters he has a supernatural background and his name is intentionally on the nose. People walking around passing him on the streets or boxing him in the ring wont ever realize that wraith is a wraith. He was an angry and terrorizing ghost. When his curse was broken and everything that tied him to the earth was gone he had decided he would stick around a while as one of us. His life was cut short and when he had the opportunity to have a good life living like one of us, then what the hell, why not? He is tangible and doesn't do anything spectral in the ring, you'd never know it just shaking his hand. Only his closest friends know his secret.

He is a hard guy not to like. Outside of the ring he's a laid back dude. He's a drummer and a surfer dude and prefers sleeping under the stars on the beach. He'll crash at a friend's house if the weather is too bad but will always carry his weight even if it's for a night. He'll cook dinner or wash dishes or whatever, he'll behave more like a host than a guest.

When I designed him as a fighter I was watching the Arturo Gatti vs Mickey Ward trilogy and he has a little bit of both of them in there. Mickey Ward was a fighter who was brought back into the spotlight when his career was damn near over when he took on Arturo Gatti. Both of them had their careers on the ropes and the all out WAR on each other. At one point they beat each other up so badly they both went to the hospital and as if by fate it turned while they were there they found out they were sharing a room at the hospital! They both thought it was great and when Ward retired he became part of Gatti's team as Gatti went on to become a big deal. It's hard not to be inspired by stories like that, especially when those kinds of things happen for real!
