Sierra works hard at training. Harder than most. "Conditioning conditioning and more conditioning." Because when two fighters have equal skill it will boil down to conditioning and who is in better shape. She also finds training to be therapeutic. She has led an interesting and hard life and training gives her focus and being around all of her close friends makes it something she looks forward to. It has helped her develop into the person she is. A hard life can do one of two things. It can make you antisocial and distrusting. Or it can make you see the side of people worth appreciating. Because when you're in an enclosed area with someone trying to knock your block off you somehow become in tune with the duality of any given person. When the fight is over and they throw an arm around you to congratulate you (or offer sympathy) and you experience that sportsmanship it teaches you something.
In the universe my characters reside in championship matches are old school rules. While they still wear gloves a round only ends when someone is knocked down and there is no limit to the number of rounds in a fight. The fight is over when someone can't continue.
