Serenity.
Yellow, red, blue or green. Flowers and herbs with vivid colors surrounded the scarlet creature as she patiently searched the ground for a specific plant. It was yellow, that she knew. And it smelled like spring although it bloomed at Fall. Her mother used to gather the yellow flowers in small bundles and save them for winter. They would fade away, they would be dry when her mother found them again. But the smell, oh it didn't fade as colors did. The smell of spring and summer could lighten almost every mood - especially hers.
So she searched. It was the first time since the war she dared or thought of gathering herbs again, so her eyes weren't as experienced as her mothers had been. But nonetheless she tried recognizing them - they reminded her of dandelions. Bright and yellow.
At some point she gave up. She had been searching for hours and her eyes and feet were sore of wandering in circles and not knowing where to look. Heck, she had maybe wasted half her day and hadn't done anything besides looking like a confused stranger. Slowly she stopped before sighing. She couldn't stay too long, she knew that. But a tiny rest, that she could do.
As she laid down she smiled softly. It was nice... it was calm. The sun warmed her crimson hide, all of a sudden there was a moment of serenity, which she didn't mind at all. At the moment she was fine and almost everyone she knew hadn't had any great losses or horrible year - some even choose to have children now, which somehow was a sign of wellbeing. It had been a better year than before and she hoped it would only continue getting better. Who knew, maybe they wouldn't be on the run in a few years?
The scarlet doe chuckled softly and shacked her head slightly. No, that she wouldn't be naive. She couldn't afford to be it and knew it wouldn't end up like that - it would be too weird. Mainly because of their treason - which there had been no reason for, and their heretic beliefs in a god - how could they accept a land which wasn't like windborne should be? That they couldn't.... but it soothing to think everyone could be with anyone someday. As she shook her head stretched her neck, a flash of hidden yellow followed her.
And shortly after that, the smell of flowers and spring reached her nostrils and Ava's smile grew more.
