Ok - if it wasnt a very roundabout and mean thing to do to make the point, I would remove all of your favourites so that this completely stood out - because it does!!!
I love the whole composition, the contrast between the lilacs and magentas and the greens, and all of the textures.
The mists and mountains are beautiful

The scenery here is amazing. The distant detail and weather rolling in/out is just the icing on the cake here. So gorgeous view, thanks.

have you seen the RAW images? have you seen the PSD? did hougaard tell you how he processed it?
fairly silly comment if you ask me

1)the grass doesnt become red at sunsets

2) no i havent asked you.

eye-of-tom In reply to FrozenWhisperx [2009-04-27 12:10:00 +0000 UTC]

Lol sorry but you're wrong.
If you've never seen warm (red even) light on grass at sunset, well I dont think you've quite seen enough.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FrozenWhisperx In reply to eye-of-tom [2009-04-27 12:23:30 +0000 UTC]

mm in my monitor i see ALL red. I agree that at sunsets/sunrises rocks and grass can become warmer, but not that red! I dont know, maybe my monitor is not calibrated properly..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

eye-of-tom In reply to FrozenWhisperx [2009-04-27 12:28:27 +0000 UTC]

yeah, may be a monitor issue.
i've never calibrated my monitor and to be honest, the colour looks dramatic yes, but not unrealistic.
anyway, i guess because i just finished reading Joe Cornwells "First Light" today, a landscape photographer who does not digitally process his images, and seeing the amazing and dramatic colour he captured it was certainly not a stretch of the imagination to think that hougaard could have captured something like that as well.
