I love this piece of art. Red river hogs are one of my favorite animals! The eye is so pretty, and I like how you did the flowy cheek and ear fur.

Red River Hogs are fascinating, and their long hair, color, and markings are very distinctive. I love painting animals and birds that are under-appreciated and only a few people seem to take notice of. I'm glad you love Red River Hogs as much as I do. I've painted quite a few pictures of them!

I agree! They're fantastic creatures. I also love animals that are under-appreciated, don't get me wrong I love little cute and furry things too, but animals such as the fat and serene manatee and the hairless babirusa fascinate me.
I also want to tell you that your art is amazing. This may sound weird, but it has a comforting feel. I just love it.

Thank you! I'm trying to hod the eyes with the top eyelashes, cast a shadow on the eyeball, and paint the iris lighter at the bottom where the light would hit. I just want to paint better, and have the creature look more real. I'm happy you noticed!

Thank You...the word I tried to type was hood or hooded not "hod". My arthritis is acting up today because of a change is pressure and my hands hurt. I thank God when I paint I concentrate and don't feel pain. That is a wonderful blessing unto itself. My name is Annie, and since we seem to talk just about every day...you should know I'm a girl, 63 years old, and love supplying you with paintings to upload in all your different sites. I guess we will both keep each other busy and out of trouble!!
