Oh gosh you used coffe for that, it's so damned awesome *dies* And how you did the texture on his body fur, plus the body itself with the short-ish legs and overall slightly pudgy look? Best thing ever. ~ I just love it <3

I tried to follow his anatomy the best I could..so yeah, short-ish legs must be there, I´m glad you noticed them ^^...he looks very muscular with a strong neck too, so it could maybe looks pudgy I guess XDD
I´m really happy you like it! Jalek is an awesome char, considering I do not like drawing horses or halfhorses (they are so hard to draw for me), but this guy makes me want to give them an oportunity.

damn so cool effect! i wish to use coffe too! my attempt with tea failed D: how did you use it together with paint and make such nice effect? and what branch of cofee did you use XD?

I prefer coffee before tea, coffee stains more than tea on paper (I tried with tea once and I did not have the same effect).
I use many layers of coffee and let them dry and then I added some watercolors to get a more "deeper" effect on the bg.
I used a cheap branch of coffee (my mom would kill me if I use a good coffee for this XD ).

me too, animals are more easier to draw than humans..I have the same problem with hands XD ...I stay with the paws XDD
