Description
I have so many different color-shifting pigments at this point that it's rare that a new color catches my eye and becomes a must-buy. The Frost Blue pigment from JetAgeStudio is one of those rare colors. I was intrigued by the silver base with a blue and green color shift - it's very different from any of my other chameleon pigments, which tend to shift through some slice of the rainbow color spectrum. It looks amazing brushed over silver clay - the blue and green notes are surprising and delightful.
I also got some mini dewdrop cabochons. They are very similar to the glass microbeads that I use as water droplets on my aquatic pieces, but they have flat bottoms with an iridescent sheen instead of being a full sphere. I'm impressed by how well the flat bottomed shape gives the illusion of a dewdrop, and now I want to try using these cabs on some sort of a water dragon.
Crafted from Premo and Cernit polymer clay, Solar Color Dust pure holo, JetAgeStudio frost blue chameleon pigment, bugle beads, and glass dewdrops. This dragon has been sold.
