i think it's a little bit of both. she wasn't going to ruin a perfectly good pair of pointe shoes with an outdoor shoot, but she also has great feet.

oh yeah obviously she wasn't gonna wear new shoes...
what i meant was that if the shoe is dead, the foot tends to bent more so it looks like you have a deeper arch than you actually have.

It's really quite amazing.
I don't know any professional ballerinas, but I know some people that once did ballet.
They tell me there is a lot of pain involved. But from their faces, you can never tell. I mean, just looking at her feet.
The problem is always with the stereotyping and things like that, but isn't that with all forms of dance ?
