March Monthly Community Challenge: Legend
Three elders once walked the island, before turning to mist and story. Just as each of the three was known for something of their character, so too are those that pass on in their wake. What would your wolf be known for, even long after they are gone?

What could he be known for? Helfysir was a murderer, a ruffian, afflicted. He would be known as the uncut and Could Have Been. He had been something, but fell. He had rose again to be cast down. Morose thinking, according to some, and they would be right most days. The Ironhide made no attempt to hide his bitterness over the things done to him and he certainly wasn’t gentle about his lack of faith in wolves who held more importance in titles than in actions. Some days, though… Some days, it was a comfort to believe he would be as easily forgotten as the stones whose bite left no trace on his hide.

As the seasons shift and spring begins to seep into the cracks of the mountains, Helfysir takes to the lower slopes to patrol the passes that snow previously kept blocked off and secure. Although he keeps attentive of his duties, it's impossible to keep his mind from quietly churning though various thoughts. Among legends and legacies, he also thought of the great mysteries of the island and life itself. Having spent so much time helping to guard the newest circular stone monument above Sanctum, he finds it's easier breathe away from the mutterings and musings of the Acolytes and away from the damn stones themselves.
