Description
This is my first attempt at a watercolour painting with no ink guid lines! it was a tricky start, but i did enjoy it!

heeeh, i love this little creature, it spends its time grovaling around in the leaf litter, theiving from squiral harvests and collecting horse chestnut shells..to hide it
They are quite volnerable little things, cats, hawks and even hedgehogs have a go at them! but they use a few kinds of defence, a mossy plant grows in the creatures fur where it cant reach to clean its back and it acts like a camo, they have a very off putting squeal that would even make a human turn away and the shells of the horse chestnuts is a spikey deffence in itself!
thus earning the nickname the Thorn hog. It's other name is the Molehog, because it also hibanate's in deep compost heeps as the rotting plant matter is nice and warm.
but if you do go looking for one...be careful they have a nastey nip!

[EDIT] - If you want to imagine a thornhog...think of a tiny baby hairy turtle....with a mossy back and tusks and there's your Thornhog, haha.
