Oh... Pokemon was right...
In the DragonGirl universe there is a phenomenon called "Kryptonite syndrome". Basically, natural born supers have some sort of weakness that causes them to lose their powers (and occasionally causing other side effects). It can range from a material to a situation, to a plant, to pretty much anything.
Because it is so varied, some supers never find out what their weakness is. Unfortunatelly, DragonGirl is not one of those. In fact her weakness is discovered pretty early, even by accident.
DragonGirl loses her powers when encased in ice. In general, lower temperature is less great for her, tho usually her fire powers take care of that.
But the more trapped in ice she is, the more she loses her powers. First her super strength (which affects her flying too since she doesn't have hollow bones so she flies using super strength), then her fire breathe, the finally any other spot on her body she can set on fire.
Obviously, even tho it has no actual side effects, ice isn't exactly the most comfortable thing to be stuck in.
