Love the subtitle Well, great job, very neat and sharp, but I think the smoke is a bit too much on the center of the pic for me (in the lower part of the image). But I still love it !

Very, VERY cool

I love how minimalist this is. It could be turned into a lovely wallpaper The smoke looks almost crafted, I can't fault this pic at all!

This has actually reminded me of a smoke themed shoot I want to do. For interest's sake, how did you get such a strong contrast between the two? And what was your smoke source?

well, it's a special technique for shooting smoke. It looks complicated but it's really not.

First you put your camera on a tripod and focus the distance where the smoke will be. After that you put the focus on "manual" so AF couldn't make you any trouble . Then you light you smoke source (despite the title of a photo, I used those burning smelly sticks ). When the smoke is ready for shooting, you put your external flash (don't use the full power) under the smoke source (this is really important), and fire the camera trigger (exposure should be around 1sec) and quickly fire a flash in a time a film/sensor is exposed. And that's basically it

oh yeah, the background should be black, and make sure there is not any wind in the room. After shooting it's just playing a little with curves in photoshop
