I have to say that the pose and lighting/shading resonates a melancholic mood from how I see it. It feels like there is a deep story behind this person.
The vastly empty background does make things a lot more mysterious too. I really like it even if it is a doodle (oh, and like the comment above me, I dig that coat too, haha~).
