Posterra is a frontier. While there are some pockets of progress and established civilization, most of the ruined globe is a wild landscape filled with dangers, from the hostile flora and fauna, through bandits and highwayman, to – last but not least – plenty of mutated, magical, arcane and xenotech remnants of bygone eras and mistake of the ancestors that roam the realms. And so, the new form of heroes for hire emerged, the questing knights, the monster hunters, the blades for the Other. It is not an easy bread to earn, but the demand is ever growing as every route once cleansed of the monsters, given time, with be infested again with some new threat – nature does not stand a void. Some monsters are so insidious, so dangerous, that they survived multiple attempts and garnered a terrible repute, claiming their little plot of wilderness as their undisputed domain, meeting any challenge with terrible brutality and savagery. One of the most vile one for the moment is Goghathu, the four armed maw, that cut off the quickest route from Wharf Town to Autofarms, putting a great strain on the city food supply. Many tried to topple this powerful monster, but to no avail – but that’s how the system works. The price for its hide grows and grows, and soon it will start attracting legendary characters to take on the challenge…
