It's just an area near my house. I saw the sun coming up and ran outside with the camera and tripod.
It's an HDR image, consisting of 7 exposures ranging from underexposed to overexposed, taken in NEF/RAW format, and combined and tone-mapped in Photomatix, with tiny tweaks in Photoshop Lightroom.
