Description If I had the time I would have put a little more time into designing him and balancing out the front and rear plus added more detail to the whole thing and brushed him with turp or sanded him.

But all in all I'm pretty pleased with him considering the time I spent on him.

yes about the same here XD having big trouble getting hold of ordinary SS over here XD I'm going to put ALOT of it on my wishlist for my birthday XD mixing SS firm and ordinary SS gives great properties, just a tad firmer than the orginal but not so damn firm that you have to bust yourself to make it soft enough to work with XD

Naaah XD i actually skipped the wings on this one, they have a tendency to take a long time to make (both armature and sculpting XD) so I went with a wingless one. I am doing another dragon sculpt though that has wings, been a bit slow on the sculpting part lately though, glad you like it m8 and thanx for the comment!

Sweet work, fellah. What are the materials? Super Sculpey I think I recognise for the main bulk of it but what's the grey? SS Firm?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hugeanticpeanut In reply to Caerban [2009-05-19 21:10:41 +0000 UTC]

right on, its ss firm, I use to mix the orginal SS with some black and white Sculpey3 to get rid of the bloody transperacy bit this was a quick sculpt so I skipped that part XD

I've just got myself 500g of SS Firm to play with. What to do with it though, hmmm.

I hold onto my firm like it was gold XD it's hard to come by here XD I think its wonderful to make armor n stuff with, the armorparts on the samurai sculpt are all going to be made of ss firm

thnx heaps m8 XD it was good practice too. made me realize that the sculps are more fun when they are "finished" wraping "Guts" up as we speak XD

I like him. what's with the different clays?

hugeanticpeanut In reply to Maieth [2009-05-19 20:27:42 +0000 UTC]

the claws are made of sculpey firm, as the name says its a bit firmer than the orginal supersculpey, ie easier to make small stuff and sharper detail than the orginal ssculpey. my intention is to atleast give it an even coat of a neutral color or paint it but thats up to the client. xP

thnx m8, will probably just give this a couple of coats of pain and call it finished if the client wishes it.

excellent.
Have you ever thought of sculpting one of the creatures from Aliens?
I bet it would be quite challenging.

the xenomorphthingies ala geiger? I've thought about it, I'll give it a shot when I'm done with the Guts sculpt. (I hope to finish it by tonight. XD) Love Geigers style.
