Today, I am thoroughly excited because Queen of Peace bookstore was able to donate the first of what will hopefully be many, many monthly donations to the Orthodox Diocese of Sitka and all Alaska!We were able to raise $149.43 in thr month of September with the help of Queen of Peace customers and members of Holy Apostles Orthodox Church!
I pray that working together, we can raise as much or more next month to help the mother of all Orthodox Churches in America in her time of need!
This fund is helping the Orthodox Diocese of Alaska to train and raise up priests to pastor the Alaskan villages that are hard to reach, as well as to raise up schools that will teach that Native Alaskan Christians in their own language, thus preserving the beauty of the native language and culture while also teaching the next generation of Alaskan Natives, not only about math, science, and reading, but also about the Love of Jesus Christ!
