Last month was a bit of a slow month, but I am still so grateful to the wonderful customers we have had, who helped us to raise $51.82 for the Alaska fundraiser through Queen of Peace bookstore.

This is one of my favorite things about running the bookstore, getting to participate in this fundraiser to help establish schools in the native languages, and to help raise up priests to pastor the rural Alaskan villages. The history of the native peoples of Alaska is a history fraught with tragedy, as well as much persecution, and yet the wonderful people of Alaska have stayed true to the Orthodox faith. And through them, the Orthodox Church in the United States has become a reality. Many people like me would probably never have had the chance to experience Orthodoxy were it not for these wonderful people who have preserved it in the new world. And knowing that these wonderful Orthodox Christians have had such a struggle breaks my heart. Please consider joining our effort by donating to www.odosa.org today.
