Admittedly, the bottom couple aren't that outrageous, a person savvy about saving and making a reasonable wage could easily acquire that much. But the higher members of the list are extremely problematic. Jesus has some very harsh words for people who hoard wealth for themselves.

First off, there's the simple fact that it is more difficult for a rich man to enter heaven, "than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle." So, right away this should tell us that those who desire to be in the kingdom of Heaven should eschew extravagance and excessive luxury. But let's go a step further.
Jesus has a parable about a rich man who hoards wealth for himself, and Jesus' assessment of the man is simple and cutting, "you fool, this very night your soul is called to account, and who will possess your riches after you?"

Don't be deceived, there is no corner of the earth over which God is not master, and the Master has made His decree, we are called to clothe the naked, care for the poor, protect the fatherless, feed the hungry, heal the sick, etc. We are not called to buy multimillion dollar mansions or cars that cost more than many people's houses, we are not called to wear watches that cost more than a house payment. In short, if you're hoarding wealth and spending lavishly, then you are not a servant of Christ, you are a slave of your passions. Repent, and if necessary sell all that you have, for if that's what it takes it will be worth it, and follow Him today!
