My man Kirk blessed and I with an awesome rendition of our flagship ocs on my request for a trade. I was really surprised to see what he had done and I wanted to make sure that on my end I made his lines look good in color. I hope I pulled it off. Seriously trying to step up my game with backgrounds and scenes and get away from the nondescript settings.Related content

The fact that you tackled a complete scene like this is most impressive, Gary. I was impressed by the detail in the original and it looks even better now with color and enhancements to the lines. The coloring is top notch as always.
One thing bothering me is the placement of Gilead and Vector in the foreground. I understand this was meant to be a collaborative piece, but their poses, in addition to the very different art style, makes it clear that they were pasted into the frame after the fact. They don't look like they're interacting with the scene at all. This is mainly because of Thanos' fist in the background, which makes the viewer ask questions. Did Thanos do all that damage, or was it Gilead and Vector? Is Thanos the next opponent or is he just there for show?
I suppose I wouldn't have these concerns if I didn't originally see the drawing without Gilead and Vector in the foreground. The fact that I know they were added in later makes me perceive the image differently than I probably would if I'd seen this as a cohesive whole the first time. Still, I think the drawing would have been more effective overall if Gilead and Vector were facing the background in some way, looking toward Thanos, rather than staring at the viewer.
Still, this is an impressive work of art. It's clear a lot of quality work went into this by both you and your collaborator, and it's a piece to be proud of.

Thanks, DM. It was a step I had to take even though I was apprehensive about it the whole time I worked on it. So much goes into working around someones work and incorporating your own ideas into it that things you may have thought of at first got lost somewhere. I keep thinking they should be bigger but then even that raises more questions and problems. I did also like the fact that you didn't know who caused the destruction as well. If it were a comic book you'd have to open it to find out. I like all your thoughts and they can be well applied to my next work, thanks again!

One suggestion though. You might want to try it with out the glow around the guys or at least where their feet touch ground so you get less of a pasted in look.
