Due to prejudice from both full blood Elves and full blood vampires King Silver arm granted him permission to stay on Elf land in a more secure area, He's allowed to live on one of the largest Islands with his grand parents of Elf land close to King Silver arms castle so that he doesn't have to travel far if he never needs something.

King Silver arm wants to guard the warriors well being and other hybrids like him because only they are capable of controlling their blood thirst.

As Ghalahad grows he will leave the island and live among the Elves believing he has developed a thicker skin than Steel,

There in Tuatha De Danann is where he meets his other half.
