Alright, this more goes toward the last page, but I want everyone who sees this to stop and think about who Rex is.
We have a man who was driven from his home by natural disaster, who lead his men to a new land do that they could live, who tried to bring knowledge to the people of the land, and who truly cares for his daughter and even the lives of the children to the savages.
A caring and devoted father, a leader of men who wishes to advance both his people, and the people of his adopted land.

I've seen quite a few fur commics in the time spending in the internet (that would be 12 years now I believe) and not everything gets me interested easily. I wanted to make one on my own once, but I can't draw well enough for that.

thanks, but technically they are not werewolves as they have no other forms.. then again many use the terms meaning a bit different things, so.. *shrugs*
anyway, I am curious why would you want to be able to turn into a werewolf/have shape shifting ability? or did you mean you'd like to become a werewolf for good, leaving your human from forever?

Well we will see about that and if they are.. lets hope they are powerful enough considering they have a strong opponent with more developed technology.

Lupines should know better their territory....maybe they'll use some dirty trick like fighting in the night or in the mist ... I'd like to see Shadow in the middle of an open war...would he be strong enough to fight an (maybe) kill? Can't wait

HunterBeingHunted In reply to 0laffson [2014-03-13 15:58:24 +0000 UTC]
ohh yeah that's true, because of their less advantaged technology they would have to use very sneaky tricks ;D we'll see if they come up with something smart
Shadow didn't seem like much of a killer type before when fighting the guard.. but! he did 'win' and could have killed him.. so it seems he would make a quite good fighter, not sure if he is up to it mentally though.
sorry for late reply XD

yay new page!
about the grammar: seems all right to me. Maybe change panel 3 to "...take her from me, too"
Lupines!

Yes, I was going to correct that bit, too. It could also be: "I can't let them take her from me as well."

I see Blue getting in the middle of a war. This is such a frontier romance. Just like Red Coats and Indians in 18th Century America.

Shadow's love will be made now Blue on a hard test, and also for Blue there will be no easy time. It is terrible when two loving can't be together, because their families themselves wage war. But Blue contact Shadoow, and to meet with him will take one away.
Because it should never be forgotten: the love always finds a way. Or even like a quotation from the TLK 2: love will find a way. This statement is the truest that was ever said about the true love, in a cartoon.
The Group of lupines Shadow is taken on that makes me less worried, what is more interested in me, how they will react if Shadow tells them what did the Leonies with his pack. If Shadoow should reveal it to them at all, because, after all, could be possible that big Pack decides to attack the leonies, and this could at least hurt or maybe even killed Blue. And I think not the Shadow that want to.
Well we'll see what happens, I wonder how it goes.

Even though TLK 2 wasn't nearly as good as the TLK 1 in my opinion i did love that movie and that saying definitely has a point, though.. for it to apply in real world. I myself consider a slight addition needed for it: Love will always find a way, if both have chosen each other.
with this I mean.. well... even really good relationships end these days, even when people really in love with each other, because things get too hard and people give up, too many obstacles or just a moment when your feelings aren't the strongest can ruin it.. or when you have not remembered to fuel flames of love and they get too weak .which is why you should also besides of simply loving someone truly, use your free will to choose that: "this is the one, a person I will want to be with" that is how you can get through the hard times and work it out, and find a way no matter what, because you have chosen that person.
Blue will definitely be in danger if they decide to attack and Shadow will definitely not like that xD .. also they might already be planning on attacking if Rex had a right idea about the course of things, before when he was interrogating Shadow about the disappeared lupine packs.

That's what I (and most of your readers) are probably curious about. The Lupines don't seem to have any sort of larger structure outside of the pack, let alone any sort of formal military organization or industrial capacity. What is this Great Pack going to look like?
I didn't think you were actually. Obviously, it's very different aside from the name, just as your lupines only resemble my werewolves and are the polar opposite in terms of culture. If anything, my use of it is a bit deceptive since Great Packs are well-organized military empires, not just "packs." Some of them did get their start with many smaller werewolf packs organized together to fight a common enemy, but there's more than one "Great Pack" and it's not really how they identify themselves. So no, I didn't think it was copying. If anything, I kind of hoped it was a shoutout... which would have been flattering. But don't change it.

OH NOES! Waiting!
I know you mentioned that they're really never had to unite or fight a war before. A "shoutout." Basically, it's a small, but polite reference to another's work. They're very common and it's hard to think of just one example. I'm not sure about your favorite movies and video games, but the one that always comes to my mind for its loads and loads of shoutouts is the Fallout series. Weapons available include Mad Max's shotgun, the .44 magnum from The Road Warrior, Deckard's pistol from Blade Runner, and a Garand with an inscription that says "This Machine Kills Commies," which is a shoutout to musician Woodie Gunthie whose guitar was inscribed "This Machine Kills Fascists." That's just a few of the several hundred in the game. The idea with shoutouts isn't to rip off ideas, but a polite little reference. Hence, even with all of these shoutouts, Fallout is still its own unique game.
Hence, I thought that a bunch of lupines getting together to form an army called "the Great Pack" might be a shoutout to my werewolf armies.

No problem. Well, one problem. The word is "shoutout." Or alternatively "shout out" or "shout-out."
