Also my first drawing I made with oil pastels. Admittedly, I'm not too proud of how it came out, but I think it's still good.

What they're doing:
Alli's name is also a Spanish word meaning "there" or "over there" (albeit pronounced differently), so I played around with it. "Where is Alli?" (Chorus of children's voices) "¡Alli!"
Nosegay's name is an old-fashioned synonym for bouquet, so I drew her selling bouquets of flowers.
Tutu is wearing a tutu.
Anchovy shares his name with a fish, so I drew someone catching him with a fishing rod.
Ken claims that his favorite band is No Doubt, in reference to his catchphrase.
Gwen is singing "Just a Girl" by the aforementioned No Doubt. It was written and performed by ex-band member Gwen Stefani.
Patty discovers why she was called that, and is reasonably disgusted.
Olive insists on being called "Olea Europaea," the scientific name for the olive.
Bruce is angry at me for that time I thought he was a goat for about a year.
Marcel is dressed as a stereotypical mime.
Gloria is dressed as the female player character from Pokemon Sword and Shield, who is canonically named... Gloria.
Rocket is in a rocket, in reference to her name. Monty's in the rocket too for some reason.
Bertha points out the fact that she (and by proxy, hippos in general) is related to whales. When I drew her, I had just learned that.
Roscoe and Queenie are having a chess match, in reference to their chess-related motifs (Roscoe resembles the black knight chess piece, and Queenie's houses prior to New Leaf had many chess pieces in them)
Yuka points out the fact that we share a birthday (we were both born on July 20)
Bud's name is the same as Pekoe's catchphrase, which Bud misinterprets as Pekoe looking for him.
Anicotti's catchphrase is "cannoli." In the drawing, she announces that she made some cannoli.
Marina is by a harbor, harbor being a synonym for marina.
Lucy is watching a show called "I Love Lucy," which is even older than me.
In reference to her cooking-based motif, Merengue is singing "Cooking by the Book" from the children's show Lazytown.
Skye is in the sky.
As for Stu, Pierce, Tucker, Henry, Pashmina, Hamphrey, Kitt, O'Hare, Muffy, Static, and Rowan, I couldn't think of anything for them, so I just drew them standing around. Also, I noticed how, from how I positioned Stu and Marina, it kinda looks like Marina is coming out of Stu's nostril. That was unintentional though.
