Power: Frequency/amplitude [Sound |D]- Kalo can control the pitch and the intensity of sound, whether it be his own voice [usually this one 8D], the trickling of a stream, or your own heart beat. His voice tends to naturally get...unnaturally loud when he gets frustrated. Being able to manipulate sound also means he can change the frequency or pitch, what have you. Like making someone sound like a chipmunk, for example, or going the opposite way and making you sound like a demon from Hell.
Biography: Kalo grew up in a town that wasn't quite large enough to be considered a 'city.' He was an only child with two parents. Kalo always wanted to make friends to make up for the lack of siblings, but he always comes off as a grouchy person; which hindered his efforts.

That doesn't mean he didn't have friends. In middle school he managed to make two of them, a guy named Jamie and a girl named Rebecca. Jamie and Rebecca had known each other before they met Kalo, so they were already good friends with each other. But as they got to know Kalo, they all became friends.

Eventually, Kalo realized he had strange feelings toward 'Becks' as they called her. It was really confusing and frustrating to him, because he'd never really felt any love toward anyone, not even his parents. After a very stressful freshmen year in high school, he and Rebecca started dating.

Jamie had also had feelings for Rebecca, but he had never gathered enough nerve to ask her out. When Kalo beat him to it, Jamie was enraged. He made several attempts to beak them apart, but never succeeded. The tension and anger escalated to rediculous levels. Rebecca and Kalo stopped [albeit reluctantly] viewing Jamie as a friend, so the trio split.

Jamie was infuriated. He had known Becks longer than Kalo ever had! Why should he get her? Jamie figured if Rebecca didn't want him, Kalo couldn't have her. So the day of homecoming their sophemore year, Jamie snuck into Rebecca's house as she was getting ready for Kalo to pick her up. Rebecca noticed his presence before Jamie could attack, and she ran out to the living room; headed for the front door in a panic. Jamie shot her down and she died with her hands on the doorknob.

Kalo arrived shortly after. By then, Jamie was long gone. Kalo opened the door and found the horror that was on the other side. At first, he didn't know what to do. He dragged Rebecca's body to the bathroom to clean up the wounds, hoping that she was somehow still alive.

Eventually, he digested the fact that she was dead. He sat there and brushed some hair out of her face, and finally screamed in emotional agony. Unfortunately, the power of the scream jarred the supports of the house, and it collapsed on both of them.

Kalo woke up in the hospital. Everyone was wondering how or why the house collapsed, and even he did. But as his time in the hospital wore on, Kalo came to realize that it was him.

A few days later, he was back at home. He hadn't been out of the house since he left the hospital, and Rebecca's death left him brittle and even more easily angered. His parents frustrated him and Kalo ended up having his first heart attack because of all the stress. It was then that his neurosis of the heart condition was discovered, and he argument with his parents about his health. His voice reached such an intensity that he parents covered their ears and cringed in pain. Wondering what in God's name this was, and intensely following a Christian faith, they kicked him out. They were afraid that he was a demon sent to curse them, or even kill them.

Kalo stalked the streets for a while. At first his main goal was to find Jamie and kill him, but that failed. The search was fruitless. Kalo kept looking for him and disregarded everything else; including things as basic as food. He collapsed in an alley after deliriously thinking he was following Jamie. He was found the next day, on the verge of death, and eventually taken to the Underground.

As time with his powers wore on, Kalo's vision started to noticeably and rapidly deteriorate. Within a few days, he was completely blind. He used to often run into things. Eventually Kalo figured out how to get around by memorizing how many steps he's taken, in which direction, and what sounds he heard around him as he did. Kalo hates it bitterly, but sometimes he'll let others lead him around. The only exceptions are Stratus and Mirage, who he allows to tug him around whenever they want; whether it annoys him or not. Anyone else who gets too close to him is immediately pushed away.

Personality: Kalo often comes across as always angry, because he is scowling most of the time. He is very irritable. Sarcasm is one of the only things that comes out of his mouth, other than curses and threats. Kalo's form of relaxation is his music. Inside of him, sometimes there's a faint desire for friends to gather around him. Unfortunately his crude attitude often deprives him of such things. Kalo is ravenously protective of and only grows softer around one person in the entire HQ: Mirage. He goes to the farthest lengths imaginable in order to protect her. He'll die if it means he's trying to keep Mirage safe, and that has almost happened on several occasions.

Kalo doesn't like food. He eats only just enough. His primary diet is milkshakes and fruit. XD
