Scr shot for a reference: [link]Why are female Charr so unpopular ingame, sheesh.. I feel certain uniqueness 'cause I see less than one a day. Kitties are cool.
Aaanyway, something else for a change. I've wanted to do some semi-serious semi-conceptual character painting for quite a while, it's just soo entirely different mindset when compared to environment.
I chose my Guild Wars 2 character, yay! I'm still totally hooked to the PvP side of this game. It's like a polished WoW for me in PvP side: no need for any grinding, no gear differences whatsoever, cosmetic progress and small skillset in combat (I felt pretty overwhelmed with WoW, it was sometimes like playing a piano).
I'll throw a screen shot of my character for a reference later when I get a proper one, character screens are pretty derp as Charr doesn't fit entirely in them.
This has been kind of a longer project I've been doing just ever now and then. No time lapse since I started this a loong time ago.
Please do not post this on GW2 Reddit, I'll do it myself later if I want to.
And yes, Earth Elemental is my best pal as he tanks every pesky npc for me from supervisors to tower lords like a mountain, he's my cute little boulderface. Aand because I love painting rocks.

Really? There's almost no females? That's really strange, considering that the males are EXTREMELY ugly. I have a friend who's a boy who plays a female Char as his main character because he says the males are too ugly. I have a female char too, but my main character is a female Sylvari.

Female charr tails are the best, you've captured their fluffiness really well. I love how most of the painting is blended, but the ele is crisp, and the air attunement even sharper.

I have 2 charr characters, a male and a female, I know what you mean though, Charr seem to be a rather unpopular race, in my opinion though, they look sorta bad ass.

I too enjoy using two daggers as an elementalist. This is a great pictures. I feel the sparks coming off of it.

Well, I do have the screenshot of this character in the description. Those motionless screen pictures don't do it enough justice though, my dye set is also better nowadays. But yes, Charr can look awesome if you just know how to make them look awesome.. Unless you just dislike the concept of Charr as a character itself.
I think this painting looks a lot worse than the character ingame.

Lots going on with the detail. My favourite parts are the colourful jewellery, dagger, and the protectiveness of the earth elemental.

Some people probably don't like the female charr because they can't wear skimpy outfits that show everything off and are more masculine. I love the female charr, I mean how can you not like a badass female, all the other races seem like pansies.

Eeeexactly, the major thing that draws me away from all the other races except Asura are the goddamn chainmail bikinis and miniskirts all around, they even look like they makeup for like 1h before going into PvP. It's sickening, GW2 is only second to TERA.
I want to go into battle with something that looks at least somewhat protective, no matter how deep into fantasy we are.
Sheesh, even all the males (except Asura and Charr) have only like one face that doesn't look totally metrosexual.
And when we take in the fact I don't personally like playing small characters like Asura.. Yeah, this game doesn't leave me many choices even if I didn't like Charr.

Yeah, all my characters are female charrs except for my norn mesmer who does wear skimpy clothing because she rocks it and my sylvari ranger who wears TA armour just because it suits her.

Hah, Piken is actually the only server I'd transfer to if I had to. It's pretty much the same rank as Gandara in WvW, but has more organized guilds.
Although fighting against them like 4 weeks in a row every now and then makes me slowly hate them more and more.. And feel more and more patriotic for Gandara. I don't think I could play on any other server by now.

Two years ago I saw a couple of amazing pieces from a certain artist. I wanted to become that good, and now I'm here. It just took a little bit of dedication to learning and analyzing both yourself and the things you do in art.
